Children from The Trinity Community Centre were treated to a fun day trip when 13 students from The One Academy’s interior design students Batch BIAD1305 and their lecturers took them to KidsZania. There, the children braved through a journey of self-discovery and an enjoyable edutainment as they learnt about different careers through role playing.
Led by Dr. Eric Leong, Head of the School of Interior Design at The One Academy, the students took this opportunity to get to know the children and their interests as they explore KidsZania together. The children got to explore a wide range of occupations from a CSI expert, a fireman, a broadcast reporter and a designer to a delivery man, eye specialist, doctor, judge and many more.
When everybody returned to the community centre later on, new furniture was found parked in the living room and a huge amount of groceries found on the dining table, much to the delight of the children at Trinity Community Centre. The items were donated by the School of Interior Design as part of The One Academy’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
The School of Interior Design makes it a point to run CSR projects annually to make an impact in the society. A beautiful home and a beautiful township are not whole if the society is not well and together. This is the thought that pushes that keeps The School of Interior Design going with the annual CSR projects.
